How to Support Us

If you want to feel good about helping women in crisis pregnancies please consider giving to the Adoption Option Trust in one of the following ways:

1. Giving your expertise and time

We are looking for volunteers in different parts of the country to help distribute the DVD packs to people who counsel pregnant women. We especially need people who have contacts in the medical, counselling, or youth support fields. If you can help please let us know what you can offer by emailing info@adoptionoption.org.nz

2. One off donation

The Trust only employs one part-time distributor and volunteers do all the other work. Funds are used to produce the DVDs and associated support materials and distribute them around New Zealand. You can make a one off donation right now by using the “Donations” panel or send a cheque payable to “Adoption Option Trust” (along with your contact details) to Adoption Option Trust, PO Box 13434, Christchurch 8141.

3. Automatic payment

An increasing number of supporters have set up an automatic payment for their regular support of the Adoption Option Trust. To set up a regular automatic payment, please download the automatic payment form; fill it in with your details and post to Adoption Option Trust, PO Box 13434, Christchurch 8141.

4. Supporters Membership

The annual membership fee is $20. For this members receive an email alert of the quarterly newsletter and occasional supporters’ emails. To reduce administration membership will run January to January. Use the “Membership” panel and tick “Join us now”.

5. Gift Cards

Purchasing gift cards allows you to solve your gift problem for a family member or friend and it allows us to supply DVDs to those involved in a crisis pregnancy. $10 - buys a single DVD, $25 - buys a pack of 2 with accompanying posters and leaflets, and $60 -  buys 10 DVDs. For every Gift Card you buy we will send you a special Gift Card to pass on to your family or friends. The card includes a description of your gift, along with a space for you to record the name of the person you are giving the item to (as shown below). The amount spent is not shown on the card; instead we will mail you a tax-deductible receipt. If you wish to order a Gift Card complete the section on the “Gift Cards” panel.

NB: Effective from 1 April 2008, individual donors can claim a 33% (1/3) tax rebate on all donations up to their annual net income; eg: an individual with net income of $20,000 who makes charitable donations of $3,000 will receive a rebate of $1,000.
